But the benefits don’t stop there! With the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), you can enjoy a tax credit of 30% or up to $2,000 per year on qualifying ENERGY STAR certified heat pumps. Additionally, high-efficiency air conditioning units, furnaces, and boilers that meet the criteria of the IRA can fetch you tax credits of up to $600.
Exciting news awaits on the federal level too! Starting in late 2023 or early 2024, federal rebates will be available. Depending on your household income, you could receive rebates of up to $8,000 for a qualifying heat pump and up to $1,750 for a heat pump water heater under the IRA.
